Community Values
Garwai Yoga is underpinned by the values of Trauma-informed approach. These values create a foundation of trust, inclusivity, and respect—allowing each person to practise in a way that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.
Safety
Creating a space where everyone feels physically and emotionally safe is at the heart of every session. This includes clear communication, invitational language, and respect for personal boundaries.
Choice
You are always encouraged to move, rest, or adapt your practice in a way that feels right for you. Every posture and breath is an invitation, never an expectation.
Inclusivity
Gentle, chair-based yoga is accessible for all bodies and abilities. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience, background, or mobility.
Compassion
We approach practice with kindness—towards ourselves and others. This includes recognising our limits and honouring where we are on any given day.
Connection
Through movement, breath, and mindfulness, we cultivate a sense of connection—to our bodies, to the present moment, and to one another as a community.
Empowerment
Trauma-informed yoga is about reclaiming agency and building inner strength. My role is to offer tools and guidance that support your own journey toward balance and wellbeing.
Together, these values shape Garwai Yoga in Loughborough that is gentle, grounded, and deeply respectful of each individual’s experience.
I’m Gail a yoga teacher based in Loughborough specialising in gentle, chair-based yoga taught through a trauma-informed approach. My classes are designed to be inclusive and accessible, offering a safe and supportive environment for anyone looking to explore mindful movement, breath, and relaxation at their own pace.
With a focus on choice, safety, and body awareness, each class invites you to reconnect with yourself through gentle flowing movements that can be adapted to meet individual needs.
